{"id":27241,"date":"2023-10-19T17:22:56","date_gmt":"2023-10-19T15:22:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.certification-india.com\/?p=27241"},"modified":"2024-03-27T17:07:18","modified_gmt":"2024-03-27T16:07:18","slug":"phase-v-of-the-mtcte-for-tec-certification-published","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.certification-india.com\/en\/phase-v-of-the-mtcte-for-tec-certification-published\/","title":{"rendered":"Phase V of the MTCTE for TEC Certification Published"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pursuant to the 2017 amendments to the Indian Telegraph Service Rules, the Indian Ministry of Telecommunications and Electronics (TEC) has now set the date from which applications for mandatory certification of Phase V products (ERs) under the telecom equipment testing and certification process in the MTCTE regime will be accepted.<br>This is in the context of the ongoing testing and certification of telecommunications equipment during the various phases of the MTCTE regime by the said Ministry. The standards to which TEC certifications are to be performed are referred to as Essential Requirements (ER).<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.certification-india.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/stock-image-259048638-s-2015-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23823\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Starting on July 1, 2023, the TEC will accept applications for certification of Phase V products. From July 1, 2024, certification of these products will be mandatory in India.<br>This means manufacturers have one year from the start date to successfully complete the certification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Test reports from laboratories accredited by the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) will only be accepted until June 30, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following products fall under Phase V of the MTCTE:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td><strong>S. No.<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Product<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>ILAC report acceptance<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td>1.<\/td><td>Base Station for Cellular Network for 5G<\/td><td>Yes<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>2.<\/td><td>5G Core<\/td><td>Yes<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>3.<\/td><td>Hypervisor<\/td><td>Yes<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>4.<\/td><td>E-band Fixed Radio Delay Systems<\/td><td>Yes<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>5.<\/td><td>Converged Multi Service Application Access Equipment (C-MSAAE)<\/td><td>No<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>6.<\/td><td>IP Terminal<\/td><td>No<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>7.<\/td><td>Hybrid Set Top Box<\/td><td>No<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the Indian Telegraph (Amendment) Rules of 2017, there is a mandatory certification and testing requirement for telecom products in India. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.certification-india.com\/tec\/was-ist-tec\/\"><strong>TEC certification<\/strong><\/a> must be completed before import into India. In this process, the products must be shown to comply with the regulations called &#8220;Essential Requirements&#8221; (ER).
