Indien verschärft BIS-Anforderungen für importierten Stahl und Vormaterialien im Rahmen der QCO-Konformität

Juli 2025Das indische Stahlministerium hat angeordnet, dass alle Stahl- und Stahlerzeugnisse, die unter die Kapitel 72 und 73 der ITC(HS)-Codes fallen, den 151 festgelegten indischen Normen entsprechen müssen. Diese Normen wurden in die Qualitätskontrollverordnung für Stahl- und Stahlerzeugnisse 2024 (Quality Control Order, QCO) aufgenommen, die durch die Mitteilung S.O. 3716(E) vom 29. August 2024 veröffentlicht wurde. Zusätzlich zur Einhaltung der QCO-Bestimmungen müssen Importeure nun sicherstellen, dass auch das eingesetzte Vormaterial den entsprechenden indischen Normen entspricht. Eine detaillierte Zuordnung zwischen den Produkten und ihren jeweiligen Eingangsstandards wurde zur Verfügung gestellt. Diese Maßnahme soll die Qualitätssicherung stärken und die regulatorische Übereinstimmung mit den Anforderungen an die inländische Produktion gewährleisten. Stahl- und Stahlerzeugnisse erfordern in der Regel eine BIS-Zertifizierung, um für den Import und Verkauf in Indien zugelassen zu werden.
Wie in der Anordnung vom 13. Juni 2025 festgelegt, treten diese Anforderungen für Importe mit einem Frachtbriefdatum ab dem 16. Juni 2025 in Kraft. Darüber hinaus bleibt die Registrierung auf dem Steel Import Monitoring System (SIMS) Portal für alle betreffenden Importe verpflichtend. Die Mitteilung unterstreicht die Notwendigkeit für Importeure, sowohl die QCO-Vorgaben als auch die zugeordneten indischen Normen für Vormaterialien strikt einzuhalten. Die Einhaltung wird von den zuständigen Behörden überprüft, wobei bei Nichteinhaltung Importbeschränkungen verhängt werden können.
