Video: Orientation of AIS Certification for Automotive Products in India
15. September 2025AIS (Automotive Industry Standards) are technical rules for vehicles in India. They are based on the Central Motor Vehicles Rules (CMVR) and are used to check if vehicle parts meet safety and quality requirements. If they do, they get a Type Approval Certificate (TAC), which is needed to sell them in India. The system aims to enhance road safety by ensuring product quality.
