Video: Overview of BIS Certification (ISI, CRS) for India
1. September 2025BIS Certification is mandatory in India for several different product categories. The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) issues the BIS certificate. For some product categories a factory audit is required (BIS ISI) while for other products no audit is needed (BIS CRS). Product tests in India are required in general.
This video provides a brief overview of key aspects of BIS certification under Scheme I (ISI) and Scheme II (CRS).
